The European Budo Center – Dojo Stara Wieś is a globally unique resort that has been built to replicate the traditional Japanese architectural style, while simultaneously seamlessly blending in with the Polish landscape.
The Center is intended not only as a specialized venue allowing athletes to practice various sports and martial arts. It also offers numerous opportunities to foster personal growth and achieve harmony between the body and the mind. It provides perfect conditions for learning and honing your technique in a calm and natural environment.

Location
The Center occupies as many as 60 hectares of truly "magical space". Surrounded by forests, it is located in the heart of the picturesque Przedborski Landscape Park.
Our guests may enjoy approximately 20 different facilities located throughout the premises. Their style, unique elegance and attention to detail recreate the atmosphere of the Far East. All those facilities are a material reflection of the values upheld at this unique location.
The Dojo is the Center’s main and most important building. It is a perfect training facility for athletes practicing many various sports disciplines, simultaneously allowing to hold business meetings and educational workshops.
The unique atmosphere of the Center makes your events more effective. The Center’s guests have a lakeside sauna at their disposal. They may also contemplate life or participate in a Japanese tea brewing ceremony in a beautiful tea house that oozes great ambiance.
The beginning of a journey.
Dojo Stara Wieś took 6 years to complete. It was founded on a dream, as it was the intention of its owners to promote noble, human values that have been present, for centuries, in many different cultures, with a primary focus on the traditions of Poland and Japan.
Neatly settled in the colorful landscape of central Poland’s fields and forests, Dojo Stara Wieś enchants the guests with abundant amounts of tranquility and internal peace.
The Japanese architecture, ample amounts of space and silence - all these factors allow you to forget about the everyday hustle and bustle, calm down, lay your mind to rest and find the balance to proceed with our life.

Established in 1992, the European Budo Center Foundation promotes sports, physical development, general education and healthy lifestyles. It also fosters various forms of social involvement and prevents social exclusion.
It becomes involved in projects promoting protection of the environment. The Foundation helps other organizations pursuing goals aligned with its own mission. Construction of the Dojo Stara Wieś training center is one of its major accomplishments.
Foundation’s background
The European Budo Center Foundation was first established in 1992. Initially, the Foundation operated under the name of the Traditional Karate Development Foundation.
With its statutory objectives in mind, the Foundation has been supporting, since the very beginning, the activities of the Polish Traditional Karate Federation – an organization tasked with organizing various karate-related events in Poland.
In 2009, construction of the European Budo Center – Dojo Stara Wieś, a Polish training facility that plays a key role in promoting the sport, was completed.
As physical activity of today’s children and youths is highly limited and their social isolation is commonplace – we are striving to place a particular emphasis on a number of educational and sports-promoting initiatives targeted for this specific age group.
JAPANESE HOUSES
There are 16 high standard cottages located on the Center’s premises.
DOJO BUILDING.
It’s a 2,000m² space with three halls equipped with top-quality specialized sports flooring for training in comfort.
Teahouse
The teahouse is located in a pavilion situated on the banks of a reservoir, surrounded by trees and shrubs and stone elements of a Japanese garden.
SAUNA
In a lakeside building with terraces, the guests may enjoy a sauna with showers (accommodating up to 12 people) and a chill-out room with deck chairs.
Canteen
The canteen is located in a building adjacent to the reception. In addition to traditional tables, it also houses a Japanese style section.
The center is ideally suited
for the organization of training sessions, workshops, business meetings and lectures, as it offers space that facilitates effective work. The unique atmosphere of the Dojo – a facility erected in accordance with the principles of traditional Japanese architecture that seamlessly transitions between interiors and the surrounding nature – is an additional factor boosting the creativity and concentration of event participants.
The facility offers two
state-of-the-art onference rooms that are perfectly suited for organizing various types of events. Each of the rooms is equipped with a 3 m x 3 m screen, a professional projector, a PA system and a flipchart, thus offering great functionality when holding meetings, presentations or training sessions.

The Dojo is a popular destination among various sport federations that may take advantage of its facilities to pursue their own training and educational goals.
It also participates in a number of educational projects intended both for adults and children. The said projects are always based on the key principles of Budo and are designed to inspire, stimulate the desire to grow and pursue internal peace.
The Center offers a number of educational programs for children and youths, aiming to promote tolerance, courage and sensitivity to beauty. Educational games highlighting the value of global peace constitute an important element of all our projects.
The Dojo’s programs promote good habits and practices among children and youths.
Through close contact with beautiful nature, a different culture and sports activities led by true masters, students of primary and secondary schools are able to discover a new a valuable, non-digital dimension of their reality.
Karate masters are always willing to share their knowledge, at the Dojo, with children and youths. Their work consists in identifying, practicing and reinforcing human rights and values through play and sports activities.
